ENTR Workshop 24

Essen, September 18 - 20, 2024

Aim of the Workshop

The Early Number Theory Researchers Workshop 2024 (ENTR Workshop 24) aims to foster collaborations and interactions among young researchers in number theory, in particular L-functions, Shimura varieties and p-adic Langlands program. The workshop has three plenary talks in these three directions. Participants are strongly encouraged to give a talk within these topics. Previous editions: ENTR Workshop 23 at Universität Bielefeld and ENTR Workshop 22 at TU Darmstadt.

Invited Speakers

Johannes Anschütz (Universität Bonn)

Yukako Kezuka (IMJ-PRG)

Andreas Mihatsch (Universität Bonn)

Topics

  1. L-functions
  2. Shimura varieties
  3. p-adic Langlands program

Format

The workshop will take three days. Each day, we focus on one of the topics from the list above. The day will start off with an invited talk on the chosen topic, followed by short contributed talks by young researchers. There will be plenty of time to discuss between sessions and become acquainted over a casual cup of coffee for potential collaborations.

Follow-up event

In the week after this workshop, September 23-27, there will be a Summer School on Hodge theory and Shimura varieties in Essen. We encourage participants of relevant research direction in our workshop to also attend this summer school.
